@Admin Hey guys. I have a small suggestion. In the "comment" section. Would it be possible to add underneath the photo, an IMDB, and WSM movie rating? I often get movies from the "comment" section, but often there could be just one, or two comments, which is hardly enough to make a decision if you want to watch it. That way, clicking on the IMDB logo it would open their site, where you could get more info.
I know you might as well click on the movie and from there you could go to IMDB site, but the problem is when you click on the title, to get to the movie, then when you go back, it doesn't put you at the same place where you were, but it goes almost all the way up, and you have to keep scrolling down again, trying to find the title where you left off.
I don't think it would have been much work, since you already have those links set up, so you can just post them underneath it. What do ya think? (BTW still can't delete posts)
I've got to agree with @Nick about this movie. I'm going by the memory (I may watch it again later). From what I remember, this movie gotten so much shit from the critics, and I really don't know why. It was a decent movie. I think they were complaining, that his whole suit was a CGI creation. I really don't care. The story was interesting enough to deserve a 7-star rating.
Personally, I think Angelina Jolie was the best representation of the character from the game. Not only her looks fit the bill, but her body (yes, I mean her tits) worked so well to depict the game character. The newest one was not bad, and maybe the story was even better... still, I liked Jolie in that role.
It's so much fun. I mean, it's crazy, but fun. Stories are based on actual historical data, yet they are so "out there", they're UNBELIEVABLE. Some stories, you might have heard, but some are so unusual... like pigeons steering bombs in WWII, or a helmet gun.
A lot of stories in each episode (I think it's more than 10, maybe 20). Run time about 42-45 min So start from the first episode, and you'll binge the entire series in no time. Definitely bingeworthy.
I've always been a "sci-fi" genre fan, so if you put that with a title, I'm probably going to watch it. What I'm saying is... I maybe biased, but a 'solid' 6 is very well deserved.
Film, opens up very quickly. An unexpected collision with an asteroid strands the main character on the unknown planet. Honestly, it's nothing more than everyday thriller/horror, where someone ties to survive. It's one of those, "one/two man movies", but it's done well enough to keep you interested throughout.
Am I reading it right? Trump want it to INVADE Greenland, and annex the territory of Canada... Am I too crazy? Is he certifiable? I've heard of someone like that... You know... Hitler, Mussolini... etc., But for f#ucks sake, I could never imagine it will ever to reach a DEMOCRATIC country as US.
@TaxiLux It's called "Freedom of Speech"... Ever heard about that? Bud... it means, you don't have to agree with their statement, but you can't prevent them from exercising their right. In U.S. It's their first amendment in the Constitution, but most developed countries have similar laws. Maybe you don't like it this time, BUT THIS RIGHT MIGHT BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT. Look at Russia now, or N. Korea, they can't even criticize their leader. Is that a world you'd like to live in?
@psarri72 I agree with you on the "scientific approach" to this movie, and normally, that amount of inaccuracies, would have totally ruined any movie for me. However, this time I wasn't even paying attention to those details, because as I've said in my previous post, it's a movie foremost about "MORALITY".
But now that you've pointed out those factual errors, I do think they should have spent more time researching the facts/physics. Still, the movie is certainly worth a watch, but I'm bringing it back to 7-star rating.
With a release of "Gladiator II", it seems some folks crave more content from that era. So I would suggest for you this series. If you missed it in 2005, you'll have a treat now. Hell of a series. I'm going to rate it from what I remember, but season 1 gets a weak 9 stars, and season 2 a 7.5 Worth watching, especially if you like movies/series of that era. [Edit] Just finished the "Those who are about to die" series. I guess, I'm still in that "climate".
I'm totally surprised I've never watched this movie before. The cast is phenomenal. All the stars in their prime acting carrier. The story is complex, convoluted even. I mean, what did you expect from a director like Martin Scorsese. He always picks scripts like that. The movie is about organized crime/mafia, cops, internal investigation, but certainly a different aspect of it. I'm not sure if it's a 7, or an 8-star flick, so I'm giving it a 7.5 😏. Certainly worth a watch.
As for the series... It is very good, about 8 stars. I'd given it 9 stars, if it wasn't for all the "gayness" in between (which I just can't watch). However, just like me, you can just fast-forward past those scenes, as they have very little to do with a story (well some, all you need to know that Titus's brother was gay, and had his "little boy-candy").
The show primarily focuses on political intrigue, corruption, betrayal, and some thrilling four-horse chariot races.
The last two episodes were absolutely spectacular. They brought together all the preceding events in an emotionally charged and satisfying conclusion. You just wish more series would end with such a strong finish, as many tend to disappoint.
Will there be a second season? I hope so, but it seems unlikely, as most of the storylines were neatly wrapped up.
It so happens, right before binging this series, I have watched a two-part documentary about the Colosseum. so I was aware of some myths surrounding it. I was actually aware of those myths even before I watched this documentary, like the "the thumbs up/down", or that the gladiators were dying in the arena (they were too expensive to train then, to just sacrifice then in one bout), or the flooding of the Colosseum to perform sea battles.
Hence, I encourage you to watch this documentary as well, even after watching the show. Ch5 The Colosseum with Dan Snow 1080p HDTV x265-MVGroup
Nowhere near as good as "Cube", however it does have... 'something', that mystery, which pulls you in. One actor, one room, psychological mystery/drama flick. I’ll give it a 5.5. I've seen worse.
